Via Tyler, I learn that the two-dollar bill is enjoying a resurgence. Libertine bonus: strippers seem to have been embraced the Jeffersons with particular enthusiasm. Seems like a good time to revisit this old post.

Anent the referred-to post about the $2.50 bill: I'm not sure about bills--I just recently learned that there used to be bills that were a fraction of a dollar--but there was a $2.50 gold coin from 1796 to 1929. Makes sense to me.
There was a $3 coin too but it only ran from 1854-1889. Along w/ some others that seem unusual now because they didn't last: 1/2 cent, 2 cent, and 3 cent coins.
