For the next several days, I will be a faculty member at the Institute for Humane Studies’ Liberty & Society Conference, held at Pitzer College in Clarement, CA. During that time, Agoraphilia will become the Liberty & Society blogsite. All five faculty members will be taking part:
Tom W. Bell, law professor at Chapman University (and my regular co-blogger);
Steven Horwitz, economics professor at St. Lawrence University (and contributor to the Liberty & Power blog);
Stephen J. Davies, history professor at Manchester Metropolitan University in England;
James Stacey Taylor, philosophy professor at Louisiana State University;
and Glen Whitman (that’s me), economics professor at California State University, Northridge.
Stay tuned all week for real-time thoughts and comments on the seminar.

Hm...Now I really feel like I missed the boat on the IHS seminars. Not just because I really enjoy your blog, but because I'm doing summer research at Pomona College, and am therefore about a ten-minute walk away from Pitzer at this very moment. I'm sorely tempted to wander up there at some point and see what's going on.
Welcome everybody! So much brain power in one place is just great. I have to pull my dictionary and encyclopedia out to try to comprehend you academics sometimes. Nonetheless, I'm sure this is going to be fun.
